{ How to Jazz up a Plain Tee with a Statement Necklace }

Friday, August 29, 2014

Adding a statement necklace to a plain tee is the easiest way to add personality to an outfit. The key is to find necklaces that can we worn with many different items. For example, I always tend to add turquoise to everything :) so my turquoise beaded necklace shown below gets thrown onto white, black, red & yellow tops. Pick a favorite color below, throw it on and go!

{ School Shoes for Girls }

Shoes are the items my girls grow out of the fastest. The great thing is my oldest can pass them down to the younger ones as long as they are not too thrashed. I do like investing in a 1-2 pairs of leather shoes so that they last longer and also make sure that they are able to run and play in them without getting hurt.  Check out our favorites below! (the pink glitter ones are definitely more for weekend fun lol).

Back to School //

Back to school shopping is one of my favorite things to do. Not only for the actual shopping but for the reality that Fall is around the corner. I LOVE Fall in New York. I love the beautiful colors of the leaves that change, I love taking my kids to the farm and taking hay rides, I love leaving the windows open at night and waking up to chilly air.... So yes, back to school does mean getting the kids geared up for a new year but it also is a great time to enjoy a new season. Hope our favorite picks above help you get geared up too!

{ What to Pack in Your Hospital Bag }

Monday, August 4, 2014

Over the weekend I completely freaked my hubby out and thought I was in labor. You would think that by the fourth I would definitely know the difference between Braxton Hicks and real contractions but for some reason with each baby, it feels like it's the first time in many ways. It  ended up being a false alarm but it made me spring out of bed in the morning and start getting my things together for the real deal. I only have 4 weeks to go!!! Woot Woot!

Below is my checklist of items that I always bring to the hospital when delivering as well as some fun new outfit ideas that you may want to grab to throw in your cute little overnight bag :) Hope this helps any expecting mamas out there!
