{ What to Pack in Your Hospital Bag }

Over the weekend I completely freaked my hubby out and thought I was in labor. You would think that by the fourth I would definitely know the difference between Braxton Hicks and real contractions but for some reason with each baby, it feels like it's the first time in many ways. It  ended up being a false alarm but it made me spring out of bed in the morning and start getting my things together for the real deal. I only have 4 weeks to go!!! Woot Woot!

Below is my checklist of items that I always bring to the hospital when delivering as well as some fun new outfit ideas that you may want to grab to throw in your cute little overnight bag :) Hope this helps any expecting mamas out there! 

top // pants // sandals // weekender bag // pajama set // nursing tank // nursing bras // slippers // robe // lounge pants

one-piece // swaddle blanket // car seat

Must haves:

* Insurance info, hospital forms (i highly recommend having this done ahead of time just in case you are clenching your thighs to keep the baby from falling out in the registering area like my 2nd daughter almost did) and birth plan, wallet with cash (for anything you may need from the vending machine)

For Mom:

* Cozy socks

* Robe or sweater

* 2-3 maternity bras

* Toiletries and personal items // hairbrush, toothbrush toothpaste, deodorant, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup (LOL) 

* Ponytail holder, headband

* Cell phone, computer and chargers 

* Camera with charger and extra memory card

* Extra pillow (I hate the rubber ones at the hospital)

* Going home outfit in 6 month maternity size

* Towel

* Hair dryer

* Favorite brand of sanitary pads (the ones they give you feel like a diaper!)

* Underwear that can get ruined

* Pajamas

*Slippers

* Magazines, books

* Headphones or speaker

For Baby:

* Car seat 

* Coming home outfit (weather appropriate)

* Blanket (weather appropriate) 

{ Deciding Between a Baby Boy or Girl Nursery }

I've got 7 more weeks to go and so far we have a rug and white walls in the nursery. Not knowing what we are having is killing me but it was the deal I made with Mr. Bernard to get him to go for #4. I've got so much girl decor that I will work with what I've got but if it's a boy...oooooh boy. I am going to need some boyish stuff :) Are my boy color choices ok?

I've got 3 more months before baby #4 makes his/her debut. I know it is going to fly by now that the kids are out of school too which means I am going crazy trying to get everything in order! Lol. I have been wanting a new overnight bag for when i am in the hospital and have been eyeing all of these not able to make a decision. Love them all!!

{ Transitioning Spring into Summer Outfits }

Even though we are heading into summer and it's getting hot out, we occasionally get those low temp days like today where you need something light weight. Bringing color into your look and wearing sandals still keep you looking fresh and in season.

{ Milkshop Favorites: Little Girl Swimwear }

I absolutely love little girls in bathing suits. When my kids are at the beach or pool they run around so free and happy, I guess maybe it's because it's the closest thing to them being in their birthday suits :) 

I cherish watching them enjoy everything around them without a care in the world and dread the day where (like most women) they may experience insecurity with their body. I hope and pray that I can teach them to be confident and love the body they have been given.

{ Milkshop Favorites: The Maxi Dress }

Now that I am almost 6 months pregnant, I am starting to get a wee bit uncomfortable in anything too snug. I always tend to go for dresses during pregnancy because of how much lighter they make me feel :) Above are a few of my current favorites (some pregnancy friendly, some not). Regardless, they are great on those very hot summer days that will be upon us before you know it.

Prom Dress Shopping Event //
