{ Sequin Dresses for the Holidays }

Friday, November 14, 2014

I am not even close to being able to stuff myself into a fitted dress (post par tum baby body sucks!) but I can look at all my friends and clients prance around in them! I absolutely LOVE sequin dresses for the holidays. They are instantly fancy & you can always dress them down a bit with a leather jacket or booties. Plus you don't need jewelery because you already have enough shimmer going on. Below are some of my current favorites, mostly under $150 with some exceptions.

Sequins Dresses for the Holidays

top row : black long sleeved $110 // jungle sequin $98 // emerald green velvet $33 // v-neck silver $168 // v-neck black $172

bottom row: a- line skater $30 // emerald green tank dress $119 // neon and silver dress $160 // cranberry long sleeved $100 // navy sleeveless dress $28

I've had these dresses for years now and still love to wear them! Sequins never go out of style!

I've got 3 more months before baby #4 makes his/her debut. I know it is going to fly by now that the kids are out of school too which means I am going crazy trying to get everything in order! Lol. I have been wanting a new overnight bag for when i am in the hospital and have been eyeing all of these not able to make a decision. Love them all!!

Mad for Plaid //

Monday, September 9, 2013

I am crazy about plaid! Especially because there are so many ways to wear it. You can be preppy, grungy, a little bit rock n roll, or just classic and cool. Below are some of my favorite pieces that are available right now.

Happy Saturday!

A new client of mine is a breastfeeding momma to a 5 month old baby girl. She wants to try doing a bohemian look without sacrificing comfort. Below is one of the looks i put together for her. Whether you are a momma or not, this can definitely be something any woman can wear that can carry over into the fall. What do you think?

protect your face from sun damage by wearing a panama hat or fedora... wearing a hat is the best excuse to not wash your hair! :)

White Graduation Dresses

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

I'll never forget shopping with my mom for my high school graduation. We had been at the mall for a while trying to find the perfect dress for my special day and I wasn't seeing anything that i really liked. Then my mom told me to look in BeBe. I was shocked because that was always out of our price range but thought maybe i could find something not too expensive. Unfortunately, i have a knack for always falling in love with pretty nice things :) There it  was... this gorgeous, body hugging, strapless white dress. I tried it on and felt like it was made for me. Only thing was, it was more than what I thought my mom would spend. When she saw me in it she could tell I really liked it but when she checked the tag, I could tell it wasn't going to happen. Nothing needed to be said. I walked out of the dressing room without it, hoping that there would be something else i loved just as much.

But just as i was walking away, my mom called my name and with a huge smile told me i could get it. Honestly, i will never forget that day. It is one of my favorites.

That dress has been worn by all of my sisters too! So Mom, you definitely got your money's worth.

I love white dresses for graduation! It reminds me of a fresh new start, summer, bronzed skin and being warm.

I hope that some of the dresses below will give you ideas on what to wear for your graduation.

One of my favorite places to find my clients unique looking stuff is Free People. I love the bohemian vibe and the vibrant colors and patterns they use. I have been a customer of there's fo years and I am glad that so far, all of my clients have been happy with what I have sent them from there.

As it starts to warm up, I gravitate towards wearing dresses because i love being comfortable but still looking cute :) Plus they are also good transitional pieces that will carry you thru summer and back into fall. Enjoy!

s h o p p i n g

Today i headed out to Greenwich to do some shopping for a client, it is one of my favorite places to go because they have an awesome selection of stores (Free People, Intermix, Anthropologie, Rugby, Urban Outfitters etc) and the town to to die for!

When i go out shopping i definitely want to feel put together but also be comfortable.  i highly recommend wearing something basic like a tank or t-shirt to start. From there just layer a little bit depending on the weather. A cross body bag i find is great because it allows you to carry more of your purchases :) as well as comfy flat shoes that are easy to slip on and off, no laces, it takes too much time. Also! I usually do not wear any jewelry besides my wedding band so that i dont snag or getting anything caught (ouch!).

Below are a few ideas i came up with for new moms who are nursing and/or ladies that are running around get things done :)
